A joint investigation involving Monroe County Authorities and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has led to a man being charged in the death of his father. The Grand Jury indicted 20-yeaar-old Robert Charles Atkins for one count of first degree murder Wednesday. The body of 46-year-old Charles Ray Taylor was found in a wooded area off Griffith Branch Rd. in Madisonville in Dec. of 2016. 10th Judicial District Attorney General Stephen Crump asked the TBI to join the investigation.
