The Harriman City Council voted last night to move city hall to a new location in the Covenant Health Care Doctors Plaza on North Roane Street. The two story structure is directly across from the former Roane Medical Center. Mayor Wayne Best says the city was offered the building owned by Covenant Health Systems for $175,000. The move could be completed by this Christmas after renovations are complete. The building will also house the police and fire department offices.
