A correctional officer at the Morgan County Correctional Complex is recovering after being assaulted by an inmate yesterday. An investigation is now underway and the findings will be turned over to the district attorney’s office to review possible charges against the inmate. Correctional Officer Joe Eads from Scott County suffered non-life threatening injuries but was flown to U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville for treatment of a concussion.
