TDOT road crews will conduct patching operations on I-40 in Cumberland County between mile markers 313 to 338 in both directions. This work will affect all lanes of travel through the area. They will begin by closing the left lane in each direction. Motorists are advised to use caution and be alert to construction signage while traveling through the work zone. The work will be performed under nightly lane closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.. The project is going on now and has an estimated completion date of September 20, 2019.
