COURT DATE SET FOR ROCKWOOD MAN CHARGED WITH SOLICITATION FOR CHILD RAPE

A court date is set for a Rockwood man charged with solicitation for rape of a child. Twenty-three year old Terence Edon Rose allegedly asked a woman he was seeing if he could have sexual relations with her 3-year-old daughter. When Rose was later invited to the Harriman home, he was met by law enforcement and arrested.

After being read his Miranda rights, Rose allegedly admitted to his officers that he was sexually attracted to three-year-old girls and came to the address for the purpose of having sex with the child.

As of early this afternoon (Wednesday, October 2, 2019), Rose remains in the Roane County Jail under $100,000 bond. His court date has been set for October 8, 2019.

If Rose makes bond, he will be under strict conditions. The affidavit said he will be subject to electronic monitoring with random alcohol or drug testing and cannot be released from jail until monitoring is in place. Other conditions for bond include an order to have no contact with the victim or her family and he is also to report to Community Probation Services for pre-trial supervision after he is released.
