Two local high schools stepped up to benefit those in need. Cumberland County School recently concluded its Harvest for Hunger Food Drive benefiting the Cumberland Good Samaritans food program. The school presented a check for $2,176 to the food program. Roane County High School gave a check for $810 to officials with Operation Reach. This money was raised during Homecoming Week activities and will help children and families in need for Christmas.
