FUNDRAISER ANNOUNCED FOR INJURED PUTNAM COUNTY DEPUTY

Putnam County Sheriff’s Office has created a fundraiser to raise support for Deputy Chris Lynn and his family as he continues to undergo multiple surgeries. Deputy Lynn was critically injured last week in a motor vehicle crash while responding to an emergency call. Deputy Lynn is currently in the Intensive Care Unit at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Because of the severity of his injuries, Deputy Lynn is facing months of rehabilitation and numerous surgeries.

Putnam County Sheriff Eddie Farris has been working with community leaders, including the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #10, located in Cookeville, and Bank of Putnam County to establish an account to which friends, family, and the Putnam County community can make financial donations. All funds raised will go directly to Deputy Lynn’s family to be used for medical, travel, and lodging expenses while they aid him in his recovery.

With the recent merger between the Bank of Putnam County and Citizen’s First Bank, donations will be accepted at any of the Bank of Putnam County 19 locations in nine counties. All donations should be made out to the following:

Bank of Putnam County

Chris Lynn Benefit

Account #30358766

“Everyone here is family, and when someone in the family needs help, you help them in any way possible,” said Sheriff Farris. “We want to provide Deputy Lynn’s family the support and financial resources they need so that their focus remains on him and his recovery. He has a long road ahead of him, but with the strength of his family and our community, we are confident that we will see him patrolling the streets of Putnam County again.”
