TDOT announced an update on the Peavine Road widening project in Cumberland County from Peavine Firetower Road to Westchester/Catoosa Boulevard. With the latest traffic shift, existing Peavine Road is now serving as a frontage road to access businesses between Lakeview Drive and Woodgate Circle. The posted speed limit has been reduced from 45 to 35 m.p.h. within the work zone. Motorists should slow down and be alert for construction personnel and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.  The estimated project completion date remains November of 2020.
