A Roane County sex offender arrested several times in the past couple of years has been arrested again. Officers took 57-year-old Gary Wayne Pierce of Oliver Springs into custody Friday for violation of the sex offender registry. He was transported to the Roane County jail. Pierce was arrested back in early August 2019 for two counts each of violation of the sex offender registry and criminal impersonation. According to the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry, Pierce was convicted in 1998 for enticing a child for indecent purposes.
