TWO ARRESTED FOR DRUG POSSESSION IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

Cumberland County deputies arrested two individuals in separate incidents involving meth in a 24 hour period.

The first took place Monday night following a traffic stop at the corner of Dartmoor Drive and Hampshire Lane. The arrest report says after a K-9 alerted officers to the possible presence of drugs, officers allegedly found a bag hidden underneath the hood of the vehicle containing meth, LSD stamps, used syringes and scales. Deputies took 35-year-old Adam Nicholas Collins of Crossville into custody for manufacture, sale and delivery of meth, manufacture, sale and delivery of drugs and driving on a suspended license.

The second arrest took place yesterday when officers stopped a vehicle on Stanley Street for a traffic violation. A K-9 officer alerted the officer to the possible presence of drugs after the driver, 31-year-old Brian Allen Sherrill of Crossville, denied deputies consent to search the vehicle. A black case was located in between the seats allegedly containing a glass pipe with burned residue as well as meth. Sherrill was charged with manufacture, sale and delivery of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.
