PICKETT COUNTY MAN INDICTED FOR VEHICULAR HOMICIDE

A Pickett County man has been indicted by a grand jury stemming from an accident last year that killed a man. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says the crash took place on October 16 when a vehicle driven by 39-year-old Michael Lynn Owens of Byrdstown rear-ended a 1952 antique Chevrolet operated by 71-year-old Bob Allen of Cookeville on Highway 111. Allen died at the scene. The grand jury handed down charges on Owens of vehicular homicide by intoxication and vehicular homicide by recklessness.
