FIRST DEATH FROM COVID-19 REPORTED IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY WITH TOTAL CASES RISING, ROANE HOLDS AT 7 TOTAL CASES – APRIL 28, 2020

The Tennessee Department of Health said in their report released this afternoon there are 10,052 total confirmed cases of coronavirus in the state. Officials say as of today (April 28, 2020), 188 died, 894 had to be hospitalized and 4,921 recovered.

The Tennessee Department of Health defines “recovered” as people who (1) have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or (2) are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.
