RENE ARRESTED AFTER NEARLY COLLIDING HEAD-ON WITH DEPUTY CRUISER IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

A Knoxville man is facing charges after nearly running his vehicle head-on into a Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department cruiser this week. The report states a deputy observed a small car driven by 27-year-old Kevin Marlon Rene of Knoxville traveling on the wrong side of Miller Bypass at a high rate of speed and nearly hit the patrol car. Officers stopped Rene who allegedly appeared to be under the influence. He was arrested for DUI, reckless driving and driving without a license.
