Cumberland County deputies recently responded to a man with a gunshot wound to the leg near the Westel exit across from the Exxon gas station. The report released this morning states the shooting actually took place at a residence miles away out of the county. Video footage from the store shows a pickup truck occupied by a female leave the scene shortly after the victim got out. The man in his 40’s, reportedly from West Virginia, was transported by ambulance to the Rockwood Airport where Lifestar took him to U.T. Medical Center for treatment. No further information was released on the shooting. The incident is under investigation.
