Rockwood police took a man into custody yesterday on several charges including kidnapping. In addition, officers say 26-year-old Jeffrey Cole Baker faces domestic assault, false imprisonment and violation of bond conditions. Baker was taken to the Roane County jail and initially placed under $25,000 bond. The arrest warrant states Baker grabbed a female as she was attempting to leave a home and hit her in the back of the head with her purse. Baker then reportedly hit the victim several times in the face and held her against her will.
