The Tennessee Highway Patrol says one was killed and multiple injured in a 5-vehicle crash on I-40 at the 407 mile marker in Sevier County. The accident happened just before 7 p.m. eastern last night. I-40 east was closed at mile marker 402 up to the scene for several hours last night. The individuals injured were all transported to U.T. Medical Center for treatment. A full accident report, including the identities of the ones involved, will be released at a later time by the highway patrol.
