CITY OF CROSSVILLE LOOKING AT NEW MASTER WATER METERING SYSTEM

CROSSVILLE MAYOR DISCUSSES SHOPPING COMPLEX PLANS

The Crossville City Council is looking at a new master water metering system. Members learned in their work session yesterday the city has a 31 percent loss this year and the state requires it to be below 19.9 percent. Director of Engineering Tim Begley says the increased numbers may be more attributed to water readings being miscounted. A recommendation was made to install two master meters at the water plant at a cost of roughly a quarter million dollars. The city council will consider that at their regular meeting this Tuesday (August 11, 2020).
