(BREAKING NEWS) – An air medical helicopter went to a landing zone in the Rinnie community of Cumberland County this afternoon for a man who sustained a gunshot wound. Initial reports indicate a female discharged the firearm with the bullet striking the male in the hand at a residence. Officers did not say if the shooting was accidental or intentional. He was flown to U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville for treatment. A full report of this incident, including the names of those involved, will be released at a later time by the sheriff’s department.
