LOUDON AND KNOX COUNTY VEHICLE PURSUIT ENDS IN ARREST

An overnight vehicle pursuit ended in the capture of a Loudon County suspect who had multiple outstanding felony warrants.

A Nissan Maxima reportedly operated by 40-year-old Crystal T. Shubert, was traveling at a high rate of speed and failing to maintain her lane of travel on Martel Road in Loudon County. When Deputy Rogers attempted to stop Shubert, she fled in an attempt to evade arrest.

Authorities pursued Shubert into the northern most part of Loudon County and into Knox County for several miles. In an effort to prevent Shubert from posing any further damage to the community, they attempted to block in the vehicle on Choto Road and in the process, Shubert struck a patrol car, forcing it off the roadway. The pursuit was eventually terminated because of Shubert’s dangerous operation of her vehicle.

Approximately 10 minutes later she was spotted again on Turkey Creek Road. Shubert fled again but was eventually taken into custody without injury, on I-40 at Pellissippi Parkway.

Shubert was taken to the Knox County Detention Facility on multiple charges out of both Knox County and Loudon County.
