A single vehicle accident on Genesis Road close to Wayne Avenue late Monday left near 7,000 VEC customers at one point in the dark for a while. The accident report released by the Crossville Police Department today states a car driven by Peggy Taylor Bean for an unknown reason left the asphalt, went into the ditch and traveled a few hundred feet before striking a utility pole. Bean was not injured in the crash.
