MORSE, CRUZ AND ARNOLD INDICTED FOR FIRST-DEGREE MURDER IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

A Cumberland County grand jury yesterday indicted three for first-degree murder in different cases.

Court documents state 20-year-old Robert David Morse stands accused of the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Matthew Musser at a home on September 26, 2020. Musser passed away from multiple gunshot wounds.

The second involves 33-year-old Rony Noe Ambrocio Cruz. His wife, Sante Ceciliar Mendez, was found deceased in a wooded area near Village Lane in August 2020. Officers later reportedly found evidence Cruz was allegedly responsible for her death.

Thomas Mack Arnold, Sr., age 38, is charged with the fatal shooting of 63-year-old Billy Ray Jones at a residence on Christian Road on September 27, 2020. Arnold fled the scene and was stopped before sunrise the next day in south Georgia. He was extradited back to Cumberland County.

All three will be arraigned soon in Cumberland County Criminal Court
