The Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to a fatal vehicle crash on Highway 111 Saturday night in Putnam County. The report states 22-year-old Lance Jackson of Cookeville was driving a 2017 Toyota Tacoma when he ran off the road, down an embankment and struck a tree. Jackson was pronounced deceased at the scene. Troopers say he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of impact.
