KIRBY AND DAVIS SENTENCED IN CRIMINAL COURT
Two facing an offense recently learned their outcome in a Cumberland County courtroom.
Officials say 32-year-old William Lee Kirby entered a plea of guilty to evading arrest with risk of loss of life. The class D felony got Kirby 12 years in prison to be served at 35 percent as a class II offender. The charge stems from a police pursuit back in November near the 338 mile marker to the area of Crab Orchard.
In a different case a suspect involved in a short pursuit with deputies in September 2020 entered a plea of guilty to felony reckless endangerment. Authorities say 20-year-old Lonnie Paul Davis received a one year prison sentence to be served at 30 percent. He was given credit for 70 days already incarcerated.
