ROAD CONDITIONS ON PLATEAU AS OF 5 A.M. CENTRAL, MONDAY, FEB. 15, 2021

One sentence to describe the road conditions as of 5 a.m. central Monday, February 15, 2021 on the plateau.
It’s horrible in about 80 percent of the roadways on the Cumberland plateau.
NUMEROUS roads on the plateau are ice covered and slick. Travel is not recommended until late this morning when the temperature gets above freezing. It gets even worse the further west you go towards Nashville on I-40.
The highway patrol and county law enforcement has worked many accidents and advise citizens to stay home if at all possible until conditions improve.
Bear in mind, conditions will start to go downhill again towards nightfall as temperatured get below freezing and the snow moves in. The plateau remains under a WINTER STORM WARNING until 6 a.m. tomorrow morning (Tuesday, February 16, 2021).
Roads in the counties in the valley are o.k. but may have ice spots. Use caution
