HARRIMAN PARTS WAYS WITH CITY MANAGER KEVIN HELMS

The Harriman City Council met last night in regular session and decided to part ways with City Manager Kevin Helms after his 6 years of service. His yearly evaluation was on the agenda but the council went into an executive session with newly appointed City Attorney Tom McFarland to discuss options about the dismissal of Helms.
After the session concluded, the council voted to end the services of Helms. They agreed to pay Helms for 90 days, which included any vacation time owed, and give him a good letter of recommendation.
