A Putnam County, Tennessee man has been arrested on multiple counts of rape involving a child.

Authorities arrested 51-year-old Timothy Ralph Wilmoth of Cookeville on charges of three counts of rape of a child and two counts of rape.

Authorities say they started investigating Wilmoth in 2016 and found that the alleged rapes occurred multiple times over a 10-year-period.

Wilmoth was transported to the Putnam County jail and placed under a $250,000 bond.
