A single vehicle crash yesterday on I-40 in eastern Putnam County resulted in injuries and traffic backups for over an hour. Troopers say a 2005 Ford Escape driven by 42-year-old Teofilo Klark of Lenoir City was traveling east at the 299 mile marker when the automobile ran off the roadway, struck a guardrail and overturned coming to rest on its top. Medics transported the driver and a passenger, 34-year-old Jeremias Klark of Knoxville, to Cookeville Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
