Cumberland County deputies transported a suspect last Friday to jail. Officers say 76-year-old Roy Lee Farris, listed as homeless, was wanted for violation of the sex offender registry and sexual or violent offender verification. Farris was initially placed under a total of $12,000 bond. He was ordered onto the registry following his 1987 conviction for rape.
