GRAND JURY TO HEAR CARJACKING AND KIDNAPPING INCIDENT

A Cumberland County General Sessions court judge bound several charges over to a grand jury yesterday stemming from a carjacking incident back in April.

Authorities say 22-year-old Noah Emanuell Hill of Detroit, Michigan, wrecked a stolen vehicle out of Kentucky before hijacking another vehicle and forcing a woman to drive him to the Shell gas station off of I-40 in Monterey. They arrived at the store and Hill fled on foot. An alert was put out, and he was arrested near South Chestnut Street. Hill is facing numerous charges including aggravated kidnapping, carjacking, DUI, attempted carjacking, theft of property and failure to exercise due care.

Hill is currently out of jail on bond.

The grand jury will meet soon to review this case for possible indictments. If issued, it will transfer it from general sessions into criminal court.
