ATTEMPTED ARSON ATTACK AT NASHVILLE PREGNANCY CLINIC

The FBI and the Metro Nashville Police Department are investigating an attempted arson attack at a Nashville pregnancy center that counsels against abortion less than 48 hours after Tennessee’s six-week abortion ban took effect.

On Thursday a little before 2 AM officers responded to a burglar alarm at Hope Clinic for Women on Hayes Street. A front window had been smashed, and officers found a “Molotov cocktail-type device” inside that wasn’t ignited.

Spray-painted on the side of the building were the words “Janes Revenge.”

Police have not publicly linked the attack to any group. Last month, the militant abortion-rights group Jane’s Revenge called for a “night of rage” in the event that Roe v. Wade was overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court. Since then, the group has been connected to or claimed credit for more than 50 attacks on anti-abortion pregnancy resource centers and churches across the country, according to a list compiled by the Family Research Council.
