The Nashville Fire Department arrived at 4001 Bell Road, between the dam and Nashville Shores, for a 25-year-old man who had jumped off a boat and not resurfaced just after 3 p.m. Saturday.

The investigation was handed over to the Office of Emergency Management and the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. They brought outside scan sonar units and a remote-operated vehicle to be used in the search.

The body of the drowning victim was recovered at around 11 p.m., according to the TWRA. The name of the victim, who is from Nashville, is not being released at this time as family is notified.
