FOUR ARRESTED AT THE VILLAGE INN FOR CRIMINAL TRESPASSING

Crossville, TN- City units were dispatched to The Village Inn Saturday night for reports of someone barricading inside a vacant apartment. When the officers arrived, they spoke with the owner, Steve Threet who stated no one is supposed to be inside the apartment. He told officers the door was locked and closed and he was unsure how they got inside.
When officers opened the door, they located Charles Houston and Steven England who was hiding behind the door. Chris Kearley and Ashley Rector were in the bathroom. Officers observed a broken methamphetamine pipe on the floor. Ms. Rector appeared to have exaggerated movements and according to the police report, admitted using methamphetamine.
Chris Kearley appeared to be “in the nod” and overdosing, so officers called EMS for his safety. He was transported to CMC.
Steven England, Ashley Rector, and Charles Houston were all placed under arrest for Criminal Trespassing.
Steven England had a warrant out of Van Buren County and will be extradited.
A warrant was written for Chris Kearley due to him being transported for a medical emergency.
Officers observed him standing on the property of the Village Inn later that day and he was arrested.
