PUTNAM COUNTY DETECTIVES SEIZE OVER 7 POUNDS OF METHAMPHETAMINE

Putnam County, TN- On May 11, 2023, while Putnam County Sheriff’s Drug Investigation Division was conducting an investigation at a local hotel, detectives observed Brandon Lee Bilbrey, who had an active warrant for Violation of Probation in Putnam County. Detectives arrested Bilbrey on the warrant and observed three other individuals who are on State Probation and known drug offenders.
While conducting the investigation, detectives observed a drug transaction involving 24-year-old Dalton Glynn Willey. During this investigation, detectives recovered approximately 2.5 ounces of Heroin, approximately 1 ounce of Methamphetamine, and cash.
This prompted the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by Agents of the Tennessee Department of Correction Probation and Parole Division, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and the Drug Enforcement Administration to conduct a probation search of Willey’s residence in Baxter, Tennessee. The search resulted in approximately 5 ounces of Methamphetamine, a handgun, and cash being seized.
Later that night, Detectives obtained a search warrant on a second location rented by Willey. During the search of that location, Detectives seized approximately 7.5 pounds of Methamphetamine, approximately 7 ounces of Heroin, ammunition, and a sum of cash.
Sheriff Farris stated, “The street value of the heroin is estimated at $54,000. Heroin is sold in tenths, commonly referred to as points. The street value of methamphetamine is approximately $272,000. Illegal drugs are pouring across the Southern border at record numbers, and it affects every town in America. Putnam County is no exception. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office will continue to fight the war on drugs to keep this community a safe place to raise our children. “
Willey was arrested and charged with the Manufacture, Sell, and Delivery of Methamphetamine, Manufacture, Sell, and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Willey has no bond.
