MORGAN COUNTY, TN- According to a THP report, a 16-year-old teen from Morgan County died in a crash on Sunday morning. The teen was identified by the family as Zander Guinn.

The crash occurred on Knoxville Highway (State Route 62) in Wartburg. Lanes were closed around 6:50 a.m. Sunday morning while the investigation was ongoing. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol preliminary report, the juvenile driver was traveling in a Ford Taurus east on Knoxville Highway when the vehicle veered across the median and crashed into a Ford F650 traveling in the opposite direction. The driver and passenger of the truck were reported uninjured.
The teen was reported as “deceased” on the scene. Sources state that Zander had been engaged in night fishing the evening prior to the accident.
