The Tennessee Highway Patrol investigated a single-vehicle fatal accident in Roane County.

According to the accident report released today, a 2010 Lincoln driven by 58-year-old John L. Trotter was traveling northbound on Dogwood Valley Road near Johnson Lane last Thursday when he ran off the roadway and struck a guardrail.

Trotter passed away from injuries sustained in the crash.
