Crossville police responded to Walmart Tuesday after a vehicle struck an employee in the parking lot.

The report states the female employee in her 30s parked her vehicle and walked toward the front entrance to report for work when the incident happened.

The driver in a silver Honda apologized and asked the employee if she was hurt. The motorist then fled the scene.

The employee stated she had a previous injury to her knee and was concerned the impact could have re-injured it.

The employee went to a medical clinic for treatment.

The motorist was not identified in the report.
