ARCHBELL ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES AND RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT IN CUMBERLAND CO.

A Cumberland County deputy observed a motorist early last night on the 6400 block of Highway 127 North with a headlight and a brake light not working.

As the officer attempted to catch up to the driver, 29-year-old Wendy Renee Archbell of Crossville, she reportedly increased her speed to 71 miles an hour in a 30 zone. Officers say Archbell continued the same speed in a 45-mile-an-hour zone.

The arrest report states she took a curve at a high rate of speed and swerved back and forth, nearly striking oncoming vehicles.

Deputies stopped Archbell and noted a 4-year-old and an adult passenger in her vehicle.

Archbell reportedly surrendered two small bags of meth, three glass pipes, and two plastic straws containing a white residue.

A search of the vehicle reportedly revealed another small bag of meth under the hood behind the battery.

Archbell was arrested for the manufacture, sale, delivery, or possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of the child restraint law, and two counts of reckless endangerment.
