On November 21, 1938, the Palace Theatre opened in Crossville with its first movie showing, “If I Were King.”

Palace employees will celebrate their 85th birthday on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, with an open house.

The event will have some era-appropriate jazz by JR and Friends and Melissa Ellis from 3 until 6 p.m.

The celebration will end with a showing of the movie that started the historic journey of the theatre in Crossville.

The public is welcome to come and enjoy some light refreshments and great entertainment.
