CREWS WORK OVERNIGHT TO CONTAIN GRANDVIEW WILDFIRE

Crews worked overnight to put out a wildfire in Grandview.
A few structures were threatened but firefighters kept the blaze away. No evacuations were ordered.
It was called the Three Mile Fire near Trotter Road and Possum Trot Road.
As of this morning (Wednesday, November 15, 2023), the blaze is once again 100 percent contained after burning roughly 250 acres over the past few days.
The fire started last Thursday. By early Friday morning, it was 40 acres in size in the area of Jonas Holloway Lane on top of Grandview Mountain. By Sunday night, the blaze grew to 120 acres and was nearly 100 percent contained.
However, the winds picked up Monday, and the blaze jumped the fire lines.
