Cumberland County deputies recently took a convicted sex offender into custody.

The arrest report states that 42-year-old Justin Robert Sheppard had been living at a motel since September, less than 1000 feet from a park. Officers say Sheppard was allegedly living with an unrelated juvenile.

Sheppard was charged with two counts of violation of the sex offender registry.

Sheppard appeared on the registry after his conviction of criminal sexual conduct.
