CROSSVILLE CITY COUNCIL APPROVES ORDINANCE FOR TRUCK ROUTE

The Crossville City Council tonight approved an ordinance establishing a truck route for tractor-trailers not making deliveries downtown on Main Street.

If it is finally approved, tractor-trailer drivers will have to use Miller Bypass to detour the downtown area.

This was the first of several readings opening the door for discussion and fine-tuning the ordinance before it is put into play and enforced.

In other action, the council approved the purchase of police rifles using a grant received.
