SPEEDING VIOLATIONS AND DUI ARRESTS UP IN CROSSVILLE

TBI RELEASES STATEMENT ON OFFICER-INVOLVED SHOOTING IN BRADLEY COUNTY

The Crossville Police Department released its latest monthly report reviewed by the city council last night.

It states officers issued 165 citations last month (November 2023).

Here is a breakdown of the citations:

Speeding – 43

Registration violation – 25

Seatbelt violation – 22

Insurance violations – 22

Light law violation – 17

Ran stop sign – 8

Ran traffic light – 5

Burning violation, improper passing, texting while driving – 4 each

No driver’s license, open container violation, and improper use of lane – 2 each

Failure to exercise due care, blocking intersection, following too close, and window tint violation – 1 each

Police responded to 57 offenses last month including:

Shoplifting – 7

Fraud – 7

Theft all other – 4

Deaths – 4

Vandalism – 4

Sexual assault – 3

Burglary – 3

Theft from vehicle, domestic assault, assault, dog bite, and traffic accident – 2 each

Theft from building, violation of order of protection or bond condition, forgery, possession of drug equipment, juvenile runaway, missing person, recovery, drug violation, vehicle theft, suicide attempt, joyriding, civil matter, property damage, custody dispute, and criminal trespassing – 1 each

Crossville police officers arrested 113 individuals last month on various charges including:

Warrants served – 23

DUI – 17

Driving without a license or on a revoked or suspended license – 12

Public intoxication and drug violation – 9 each

Hit and run – 6

Possession of drug equipment – 5

Domestic assault – 4

Evading or resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, reckless endangerment, and underage consumption of alcohol – 3 each

Shoplifting, burglary, violation of bond conditions or order of protection, weapons law violation, violation of implied consent law, criminal trespassing, and fraud – 2 each

Vandalism and driving without insurance – 1 each

JUVENILE ARRESTS – 54

Vaping or tobacco violations – 34

Assault – 9

Underage consumption – 6

Runaway – 3

Vandalism – 1

Drug violation – 1

ACCIDENTS – 103

Minor accidents – 68

Without injuries – 24

With injuries – 11

Fatalities – 0
