The deadline was at noon today for citizens in Cumberland County to qualify to run for seats in the March 5, 2024 election.

Kelli Tipton Buchannon will run against Sandy Gilbert for assessor of property

For criminal court judge part 3 in the 13^th judicial district, Judge Shawn Fry will run unopposed.

For Cumberland County School Board District 2, Christopher Scott Goddard will run against Scott Vanwinkle.

Current school board members Anita Hale in District 4 and Chris King in District 6 will run unopposed.

For School Board District 8, incumbent Teresa Boston will be challenged by Travis R. Cole.

Citizens running for delegates from Cumberland County include Craig Clark, Brock Hill, and Chelsea Rose.

The last day to register to vote for the March 5, 2024 election is February 5, 2024.

Early voting will take place from February 14 – 27, 2024.
