Two people died after a crash in Scott County this morning (Friday, May 19, 2017) on U.S. Highway 27 in Winfield three miles south of the Tennessee/Kentucky border. Troopers say a 2010 Nissan Sentra driven by 28-year-old Jeffrey Maney of Winfield was going northbound when it crossed into the southbound lane and hit a 2013 Kia Optima driven by 60-year-old Margaret Bridges of Winfield head on. Both drivers were killed in the crash. Tennessee Highway Patrol officers say neither driver was wearing a seat belt and it might have made a difference in the crash
