The Roane COunty Sheriff’s office issued a warning on their official Facebook page yesterday, warning citizens of a scam in the area.

“Roane County Citizens beware of someone calling saying they are from the Roane County Sheriff’s Office, telling people that they have missed jury duty and there is a warrant for their arrest. The scammers then proceed to offer to clear up the situation for the person in exchange for money. THIS IS 100% A SCAM DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO OR MONEY.”
