The Technical College of Applied Technology in Harriman will kick off the construction of their new Harriman Campus with a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday at 1:30. The new location, located on Patton Lane near Roane State Community College, is expected to house all of TCAT’s programs in one central location.

At 88,000 square feet large, TCAT hopes construction will finish in early 2026, with staff moving in and starting classes later that year.

TCAT president Chris Ayers said he hates to see the old location go, but TCAT could only do so much to update and maintain the current building.
