Wanda Sue Gibboney Mizer, age 88, of Athens, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2024, at Starr Regional Medical Center. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Preceded in death by her parents: John and Eva Gibboney, sister and brother-in-law: Elizabeth and Floyd Rains, brothers and sisters-in-law: Doug and Ruth Gibboney, and Jack and Linda Gibboney.

Survivors include her daughter: Tammy Mizer, of Athens, sons and daughters-in-law: Bobby and Sarah Mizer, Danny and Dee Mizer, and John Mizer and Lisa Wallace, all of Sweetwater. Grandchildren: Sam, Brad, Charlie, Chris, Nathan, George, Lance, Heather, and Amy. 15 great-grandchildren. Sisters and brothers-in-law: Mary Lou Dorsey, of Loudon, Rachel and Reed Stamey, of Loudon, Betty and Dewayne Casteel, of West Virginia. Several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Kyker Funeral Homes, Sweetwater, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 P.M. in Kyker’s Chapel with Brother: Donnie Iverson officiating.
