THE LAST POLICE OFFICER IN ALEXANDRIA HAS RESIGNED

The last police officer in Alexandria, TN has resigned, leaving the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department, 25 minutes away, to respond to calls.
Former Alexandria Police Chief Travis Bryant resigned two weeks ago, along with another officer, leaving just one who resigned this past weekend.
Bryant said his reason for resigning was due to being unable to work with Alexandria’s recently elected administration, which took office on August 1.
Currently, Alexandria’s Mayor Beth Tripp is interviewing a potential police chief candidate.
