TCAT HOLDS GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY FOR TWO NEW FACILITIES

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology held two groundbreaking ceremonies yesterday to signal the start of construction on two new facilities.

The first ceremony took place in Livingston at 10 for a new Administration building that will also house classes in cosmetology and nursing.

Then at noon, ceremonies moved to 451 Interchange Drive, down from Mountain Farm, for the groundbreaking on a new Crossville TCAT building centered on diesel-powered equipment and technology, which will also house TCAT’s truck driving program. The building will be 14,000 sq ft. and feature a 2-acre driver test range.

Tennessee State Representatives Cameron Sexton and Paul Sherrell, Cumberland County Mayor Allen Foster, Crossville Mayor RJ Crawford, Former Mayor of Crossville James Mayberry, Office Manager Melanie Graham and CEO Ethan Hadley from the Cumberland County Chamber of Commerce, and many county commissioners were in attendance.
