CONVICTIONS OBTAINED BY CHILD ABUSE PROSECUTION TEAM

District Attorney Bryant Dunoway announced the sentencing of four men from Putnam and Clay counties for sex crimes that will have them placed on the Sex Offender registry.
Justin Dewayne Hawn – Putnam County
On Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, Justin Dewayne Hawn entered a plea of guilty to two counts of continuous sexual abuse of a child, in the criminal court of Putnam County, Tennessee. He engaged in multiple incidents of aggravated rape of a child. He was sentenced to serve a 35-year sentence at 100%. Hawn will be listed on the Tennessee sex offender registry for life. The lead investigator was Detective Brian Haworth of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.
The parents of the victim involved in this case were consulted and are supportive of the terms of the plea.

Michael Allen Glover – Putnam County
On Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, Michael Allen Glover entered a plea of guilty to two counts of solicitation of a minor by electronic means, in the criminal court of Putnam County, Tennessee, having used Snapchat to solicit two different children to engage in sexual acts. He was sentenced to serve an effective 6-year sentence at 100%. Glover will be listed on the Tennessee sex offender registry. After serving 20 years in prison, he will be subject to community supervision for the duration of his life. The lead investigator was Detective Lieutenant Heather Marshall, Cookeville Police Department.
The parents of the children involved in this case were consulted and are supportive of the terms of the plea.

Bradley Leon Watson – Clay County
On Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, Bradley Leon Watson, entered a plea of guilty to two counts of aggravated sexual battery, in the criminal court of Clay County, Tennessee. He was sentenced to serve an effective 20-year sentence at 100%. Watson will be listed on the Tennessee sex offender registry. After serving 20 years in prison, he will be subject to community supervision for the rest of his life. This case was investigated by Randal Slayton with the district attorney’s office and the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

Justin Devante King – Clay County
On Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, Justin Devante King entered a plea of guilty to aggravated child abuse physical, in the criminal court of Clay County, Tennessee. He was sentenced to serve a 10-year sentence at 100%. This case was investigated by Randal Slayton with the district attorney’s office, the Celina Police Department, and the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
